The SIPAB Business Expedition 2024 was a week-long business event that created opportunities
between African (Ghanaian and Ethiopian companies) and German companies in the food and
agriculture industry. It took place between 14 April 2024 and 22 April 2024.
A delegated group of African companies had the opportunity to visit and exchange knowledge on
sustainable agriculture solutions, food production, skills, management, technology, marketing and
different business cultures. Among the companies we visited in Hamburg were Gut Wulksfelde, Hof
Martin Lüdeke through the Farmers’ Association, the International Sustainability Academy (ISA)
funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and
Stueffel in Hamburg.
Our expedition programme continues with organisational support for these companies, facilitating
potential business partnerships, access to finance, training programmes and preparing them for
multiplier programmes. Some of the African companies that benefited from this expedition were
Vogdaya Farms (Ghana), Kwadu Farms, Alok Farms, A1 Kossaf, Amanuel Yalew Export (Ethiopia),
Alemayehu Kassa (Ethiopia) and Garuman Trading Plc (Ethiopia).
