The future of private sector development in Ghana depends on the quality of graduates we produce
today. The University Entrepreneurship Forum is a platform under Shout Africa Foundation’s
Sustainable Improvement of Productivity for African Businesses (SIPAB) initiative for students to
learn, build capacity and network to gain global economic and social insights.
On Friday, 9 June 2023, Shout Africa Foundation, in partnership with the Faculty of Agriculture,
University of Ghana, hosted the first University Entrepreneurship Forum, which was an open
discussion with students on the socio-economic structure of the country and the importance of
entrepreneurship. It was a platform for students to learn about the importance of networking and
collaboration, understanding the agribusiness value chain and discovering entrepreneurship
opportunities while at school.
Special guests at the event were the Chief Representative of the Japan International Corporation
Agency, Madam Suzuki Momoko and the Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture. Also present
were Mr Eric Acquah, CEO of AcquahMeyer and Prof Irene Egyir, Dean, School of Agriculture
University of Ghana.
